THE HERO RETURNS30 OCTOBER 2009It is a momentous occasion indeed: the third anniversary of the Rev Records is quickly approaching, and we are thrilled to announce that Laura Boggs, the artist behind our very first release, has prepared a new one exactly in time for the occasion. Her latest, Murder Ballads and Lies, was produced by the Rev cohort Jon Krakat and features not only her usual partners in crime Mike Hotter and Meg Prokorym, but also the Rev artists Tom McWatters and Krysta Dennis. SUMMER ENDING, SUMMER COMING22 SEPTEMBER 2009Just in time for the end of Summer, the Rev is proud to announce the release of the Silver Screams' All Summer In a Day. From the mind and mettle of Todd Is New Each Moment's Bryan Hamill, All Summer is an album of lovingly recorded bedroom pop, assembled over the last two years by Hamill with help from a handful of friends. The record will sometimes make you want to dance and some times make want to curl under the covers, but regardless it will be a feeling you'll want to revisit. TAMIZDAT NOW AVAILABLE20 MARCH 2009As promised, the time has come for us to show our hand - Shoe Troupe's new album, Tamizdat, is now available for pre-order. You have three options to get your hot little hands on it: either alert us to the fact that you want to download it for absolultely free, and we'll tell you when you can do so; buy a standard CD in a totally normal jewel case; or buy a special edition CD, which is actually a booklet with which you can have fun interacting. AAAAAAND... TIME!2 MARCH 2009The calendar indicates that it's March (an assertion not necessarily reinforced by the weather, depending on your lion/lamb beliefs), and that means that yet another RPM Challenge has come to a close. Last year 00shoe Troupe met the Challenge; this year, they mastered it. The resulting album, Tamizdat, will be available for free download on March 24 (there will also be a physical release for just a few bucks). In the meantime, you can pick up the first single, "Pathogen" (also a free download!), in the Rev Store. Congratulations Troupe! |
