An experiment in soundmaking, the musical collective known as 00shoe Troupe was founded in 1999 in various suburban living
rooms and high school classes by Jon Schubin and Harith Abdullah. The group has included a plethora of musicians over the years,
and have always worked hard to make engaging and unexpected sound collages. Calling the group's music "Art Rock" would be too
easy; they prefer to say "we sound like if Phil Spector were a preschool teacher."
The Troupe currently counts Schubin, Abdullah, and Wendy Cullings as its full-time members. Their most recent release,
Good Day Monster, was recorded in February 2008 as part of the
RPM Challenge. It is now available through the
Rev Records webstore.
