It is a legitmate fear of those hearing someone list Nick Drake, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young,
and Julie Andrews among her influences that that someone's sound might be a little muddled. Taking as she does from so many
sources, one wonders what Ashley Pond could end up sounding like. The answer is simple: Ashley sounds like no one but herself.
Her room-filling vocals and open-key tunings imbue her haunting, soulful compositions with a sense of vibrant uniqueness.

 DALA is Ashley's debut solo album. It was recorded and produced by Ryan Slowey over the course of a year. The time and care they put into it rings through every note.
