Laura's first studio album, Whiskey and Springtime, was recorded in September 2006
at Jared Funari's home studio, the Basement, and was produced by Funari and Harith
Abdullah. The album is comprised of songs Laura has written over the past five years and perfected
at coffee shop gigs and backyard jam sessions she affectionately terms "hootenanies." The recordings
fall somewhere between these two forums, evoking the intimacy of a small live performance as well as the
collaborative improvisation of a bonfire sing-along. Rounded out by such guest players as Funari, Joe Burke, and knotworking's
Michael Hotter and Megan Prokorym, Whiskey & Springtime is an impressive first effort from this
